The standard Apple warranty includes 1 year of hardware repair coverage for product faults and issues outside of your control. Select extend that to 3 years for selected products. However, AppleCare+ adds accidental damage protection, and gives you 24/7 priority access to support for 2-3 years depending on the product.
- Does AppleCare+ cover accidental damage like cracked screens or spills?

Yes, AppleCare+ includes accidental damage protection. This covers incidents like cracked screens, liquid damage, and drops—each subject to a service fee that varies by device. Coverage includes unlimited incidents of accidental damage across most plans.
- How do I purchase AppleCare+ and when does coverage start?

You can purchase AppleCare+ at the time of buying your Apple device with Select (either online or instore). You can also purchase AppleCare+ direct from Apple within 60 days of purchase. Coverage starts from the date your device is activated. If added after purchase, a device inspection may be required.
- Is AppleCare+ available monthly or as a one-time payment?
