Apple has just introduced iPhone 17e, a powerful new addition to the iPhone 17 family that’s designed to offer brilliant performance at a more affordable price. It also includes an optical-quality 2x Telephoto option, essentially giving you the flexibility of two cameras in one. The 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display looks fantastic and is built to last, thanks to Ceramic Shield 2. It offers three times better scratch resistance than before, along with reduced glare for easier viewing outdoors.

iPhone 17e comes in three elegant matte finishes: black, white, and a beautiful new soft pink. Pre-orders begin Wednesday, March 4, with availability from Wednesday, March 11.

iPhone 17e is powered by the latest A19 chip, built using advanced 3-nanometre technology for impressive speed and efficiency. Its upgraded 6-core CPU, up to twice as fast as iPhone 11, handles everything effortlessly, from everyday tasks like browsing photos to more advanced features such as Clean Up with Apple Intelligence.

iPhone 17e lets you capture breathtaking videos in 4K with Dolby Vision at up to 60fps. Videos are recorded in Spatial Audio, making playback with AirPods or Apple Vision Pro immersive and lifelike. You can also fine-tune your audio with Audio Mix, and advanced machine learning automatically reduces wind and background noise for clearer, richer sound.

Groundbreaking Safety and Communication Capabilities
iPhone 17e helps you stay connected and get help when it really matters. Even when you’re out of cellular or Wi-Fi coverage, you can send Messages via satellite, contact emergency services with Emergency SOS, or reach roadside assistance — all through satellite connectivity.
The Find My app can also share your location via satellite, giving friends and family peace of mind when you’re off the grid. Plus, Crash Detection can sense a serious car accident and automatically call emergency services if you’re unconscious or unable to use your iPhone.
iOS 26 and Apple Intelligence

Apple Intelligence lets you communicate across languages with Live Translation in Messages, FaceTime, Phone, and with AirPods. Visual intelligence now works across your iPhone screen, allowing you to search, ask questions, and take action on what you see.
To help reduce distractions, Call Screening can handle calls from unknown numbers and ask the caller why they’re calling, while Hold Assist keeps you on the line until a live agent is available. In Messages, you can also filter messages from unknown senders into a separate folder, so your main conversation list stays clear and organised.
iPhone 17e and the Environment
Apple 2030 is the company’s bold plan to be carbon neutral across its entire footprint by the end of the decade, focusing on cutting emissions from materials, electricity, and transportation.
iPhone 17e reflects this commitment, using 30 per cent recycled materials — including 85 per cent recycled aluminium in the enclosure and 100 per cent recycled cobalt in the battery. Its production uses 55 per cent renewable electricity, such as wind and solar, across the supply chain.
The device is built to last, designed to be durable, repairable, and supported with industry-leading software updates. It also meets Apple’s high standards for energy efficiency and safe materials. Even the packaging is eco-friendly, made entirely from fibre-based paper that can be easily recycled.
