Built with the Environment in Mind
MacBook Neo is Apple’s lowest-carbon MacBook yet, helping the company move closer to its goal of carbon neutrality by 2030. It contains 60% recycled content, the highest of any Apple product, including 90% recycled aluminium overall and 100% recycled cobalt in the battery.
The enclosure is crafted using a material-efficient forming process, reducing aluminium use by 50% compared to traditional machining. Manufacturing also uses 45% renewable electricity from wind and solar, meeting Apple’s high standards for energy efficiency and safer materials. Even the packaging is environmentally conscious, made from 100% fibre-based paper that is fully recyclable.
