How to apply for Easy Upgrade
Step 1.
Choose your Apple device from our online store and instead of adding it to your basket, select ‘Checkout with Easy Upgrade’. This will take you into the Easy Upgrade portal to select your model, choose the term you would like to pay over and add any accessories to your order.
Step 2.
Complete the Easy Upgrade application process online and receive an immediate decision. You will need to have your mobile phone to hand as part of the application process. If your Easy Upgrade application is accepted, you will be required to pay 5% upfront payment and you will receive confirmation of your order via email. Your order will be shipped to you at no extra cost.
Step 3.
Klarna will contact you regarding your payment schedule. Once you have made 12, 24 or 36 payments (depending on your agreement) we will be in touch with details on how to return your device and upgrade to the latest iPhone, Mac, iPad or Apple Watch. Alternatively, you can continue to pay the balance and keep the device. Check your upgrade eligibility here.
Step 1.
Choose your favourite Apple device and accessories with one of our in‑store Experts and select your preferred repayment period to see the monthly repayment amount.
Trade in your iPhone, Mac, iPad or Apple Watch for additional credit. We will give you a trade in value and we apply this to your new purchase to reduce your monthly payments even further.
Step 2.
Have your personal email address and phone number, plus valid photo ID such as driving license or your passport to hand. Klarna will then send you a link to complete your finance application which you can do instore on your own smart phone, or one of the team will be able to assist. You will be required to pay 5% upfront payment at time of purchase.
Step 3.
Once you have made 12, 24 or 36 payments (depending on agreement), return the device in a pre agreed condition and we will settle the balance of your agreement. Then you’re ready upgrade to the latest iPhone, Mac, iPad or Apple Watch.
Alternatively you can pay the balance off and keep the device.

Yes you can purchase with Easy Upgrade even if you have an existing contract with a carrier. However you are still responsible for honouring any existing commitments with your carrier.
Yes you can purchase for someone else. The person making the purchase is responsible for the loan and the return of the device and any communication regarding the program or the loan will be sent to them.
You have 14 days from entering into the Klarna agreement to change your mind without additional interest payments. If you wish to cancel the agreement during this period please visit your original store so that alternative payment can be made. After 14 days contact Klarna to settle the amount directly with them.
If your device develops a fault within 14 days of purchase, you can return to a Select store for an exchange. Our Select staff will then update your Easy Upgrade agreement. If your device develops a fault after the initial period, you can get your device repaired or replaced through Select, or via Apple. If for any reason your device is replaced by Apple, please contact your local store to update your Easy Upgrade agreement.
You can upgrade your device anytime but you will only be able to upgrade without any additional monthly payments after the end of the agreed Easy Upgrade term (e.g. 12, 24 or 36 months).
Yes – you are completely free to choose which device is right for you at the time you upgrade.
Depending on the time of year you purchase your new Apple device, stock may be subject to supply availability and therefore it cannot be guaranteed.
Yes - Each application is made independently with Klarna and they will perform a credit check accordingly.
After you have paid off your loan, your Easy Upgrade contract is complete. You can re-join Easy Upgrade by visiting a Select store or online.

If your finance agreement is declined you can contact Klarna who may be able to advise further depending on circumstances. You will be responsible for continuing to repay.
No. When you return your device, as long as it is in good working condition, we will close the loan for you.
If the replacement device is of the same or better specification to the original, then you can upgrade using this model. If not, then please visit a Select store where we will be happy to give you a trade-in price which you can use against your outstanding loan.
Your device should be in good working condition when it's time to upgrade. If your device is damaged, if you have insurance such as Apple Care+ you may wish to make a claim. Alternatively we will provide you with a price to repair the device to a suitable level to trade in and settle your agreement or offer you a lower trade in value. You would then need to settle any outstanding balance on your original Easy Upgrade loan.
You are under no obligation to upgrade. You can continue making payments until the agreement has been settled and keep your device. Alternatively, you can hand your device back to clear your remaining balance.
Yes. Until your new device has been shipped, you will still continue to repay the outstanding balance of your loan. Upon shipping, your original loan will be paused for up to 30 days, whilst you return your original device to us for evaluation and upgrade.
If you still have AppleCare+ coverage in place at upgrade, you will need to contact Apple directly to cancel their remaining coverage from your original device. You will receive a pro rata refund of the remaining balance of your AppleCare+ plan. If you wish to take our Apple Care+ for your new device, Apple Care+ coverage will be registered to your new device when you upgrade.
You will receive an email if your device has been down-graded and have the option to either accept a lower value or have the original device returned to you. If you choose to accept the lower value, you would then need to settle any outstanding balance on your original Easy Upgrade loan.
The Easy Upgrade offer has changed. This upfront payment reduces the total amount left to finance.
It will only take a few minutes to complete your Online Upgrade order. Once your order is placed, your new device will be shipped to you as quickly as possible. You will then also be sent a kit to return your current device. The quicker you send in your old device, the sooner its condition can be verified and and Klarna loan credited. Typically the whole process is completed in 2-3 weeks.
Devices are collected via an insured and tracked third party courier company. Devices are delivered directly to the trade in partner’s premises.

When the device is received, our Trade-In partner will inspect it thoroughly and ensure your device is has all data removed. If the device is in good working condition, it can be refurbished so it can go on to a new owner.
When your old device is returned, our Trade-In partner’s specialists will inspect it. As long as the condition of the device is as described by you on our website, the full quoted value will be refunded to your Klarna loan account.
No problem - the returns packaging will include a copy of the quotation and its unique reference for your upgrade and a printed shipping label to affix to the packaging.
The Easy Upgrade Programme is available to eligible customers and consists of the purchase of an eligible Apple product (“The Product”) which includes:
- iPhone;
- iPad
- Mac; and
- Watch
The accessories offered by Select that are associated with your Product (“Associated Accessories”) may be purchased alongside the product on a singular Easy Upgrade finance agreement and these terms shall apply to such purchases and the term “Product” shall be deemed to include Associated Accessories in such cases.
